Title: Pseudo-Foster Kennedy Syndrome
Description: A 55- year old male presented with sudden painless diminution of vision in OS for 3 days. BCVA OU HM+. Anterior segment findings were WNL. Fundus findings in OD showed disc pallor (A) and OS showed hyperaemic disc with peripapillary splinter hemorrhages (B). Based on clinical findings, OD Post NAAION Optic atrophy and OS NAAION were diagnosed. CT Scan Brain and Orbit and Serology were WNL. Bilateral sequential NAAION in the absence of intracranial space-occupying lesion leads to unilateral optic disc swelling (OS) and contralateral optic atrophy (OD), also known as Pseudo-Foster Kennedy Syndrome. The Patient was started on oral steroids Tab Wysolone on a tapered dose. He reviewed with us after a month with BCVA OD CF and OS 6/9. Anterior segment findings were WNL and Fundus findings showed OU Optic Disc pallor (C, D).
