Title: Optic disc - Too Far Even for the Far-Sighted
Description: A 2 year old male was brought to the clinic following trauma to the right eye with a toy. On examination, the child was fixing and following light. Posterior segment evaluation revealed an incidental finding of morning glory disc anomaly (MGDA) in the left eye. Fundus image of the left eye shows the optic disc located at the base of a deep excavation with vessels arising from the disc and emerging radially along the edge of the excavation. Peripapillary area exhibited extensive pigmentary changes. This presentation is atypical due to the absence of central glial tuft seen in majority of MGDA cases.
