Title: Planet Nucleus in Vitreous Universe

Description: A 34 year old badminton player was referred to our centre with complaints of decreased vision in the left eye after blunt trauma by a shuttlecock. On examination, the left eye had a visual acuity of 2/60, improving to 6/9 with +11.00 DS correction. The IOP was 14 mm Hg and gonioscopy revealed no abnormality. Ocular examination revealed a clear cornea, aphakia, and a dropped clear lens on the retinal surface. A hand-held fundus camera was used (oDocs Nun, NZ) to capture the unedited image of the dropped nucleus over the posterior pole with the patient lying in the supine position. The image looked like a planet in the vast universe, hence the title Planet Nucleus in the Vitreous Universe.
