Title: Under the Night's Gaze!
Description: 47 year old gentleman came to our hospital with complaints of defective vison during night of 3 years duration.On examination BCVA noted as 6/6 , n6 both eyes. Anterior segment was within normal limits.On fundus examination RPE mottling was noted around macula with foveal atrophic changes , few bony spicules noted inferiorly in the periphery as seen on wide field colour fundus photograph.Oct macula showed foveal thinning, ez loss and subsidence in both eyes.Both eyes fundus autofluorence revealed a sharply demarcated central hypofluorescense corresponding to RPE atrophy encircled by an annular band of increased autofluorescence with a surrounding annular hyperautofluorescence .He underwent both eyes FFERG which showed reduced rod and cone response.He underwent octopus c 32 fields which showed grossly constricted fields.He was diagnosed as rod cone dystrophy in both eyes and was advised genetic counselling and genetic testng of family members.
